Alex trained as an actor and director for 7 years in New York City with a variety of top teachers from around the world including: Larry Moss, Karl Bury, Terry Knickerbocker, Laura Henry, John Dapolito, and Anthony Grasso, amongst others.

Known for playing charmers and/or roles of authority, Alex is drawn to playwrights such as: Neil Labute, Richard Greenberg, Tennessee Williams, Tracy Letts, Patrick Marber, Sam Sheperd, Theresa Rebeck, Donald Margulies and David Mamet.

A few of his career highlights include: Erik Ehn's Shape at La MaMa ETC (NYC), supporting roles in BAFTA winning/Emmy nominated director Martin Gooch's A Midwinter Night's Dream, Eli Hershko's The Closer (Amazon Prime), John Marco Lopez's The Inquisition of Camilo Sanz (HBO) and Paradise City (Amazon Prime), Ben Affleck's double in Netflix's Triple Frontier directed by Oscar nominee J.C. Chandor, performing a one-man show at the Wild Project Theatre in Manhattan, working twice with nationally acclaimed regional director, Brian Clowdus, the DC premiere of Charles Busch's Die! Mommie! Die!, and a variety of roles in regional theatre, shorts, pilots and features that have gone to over 20 different film festivals.
